I have always had a passion for working with my hands. Building things. Solving problems. My career has given me the opportunity to do those things at a high level. From designing and building complex computer networks for business to leading a multi-million dollar corporation through a recession, a pandemic and a changing business culture. As I near the end of my career at my "real job" (in a few years) I wanted to begin creating a way to keep challenging myself, solving problems and building functional things. That's where Saw Creek Design & Woodworks was born.
Woodworking has been a part of my life since I was a kid. I have always preferred to do build things myself rather than buy them. Sometimes out of necessity. Often just because I enjoyed the process and the accomplishment. As 3D printing technology emerged in recent years, I found many uses for it around the shop. I've designed and printed jigs and other tools to help with the woodworking process as well as around the house. From the wood shop to the kitchen and out to the barn, you are now likely to see something that was designed and printed almost everywhere you look.
My home in rural southern middle Tennessee is on the banks of the north fork of Saw Creek. From here I hope slow life down a bit and continue to build useful and beautiful things. Check back here often. I'm confident you'll find something interesting.
